Who is Master Yoda?
1. Jedi Master Yoda Is one of the universe's most famous teachers of student Jedi (known as "Padawan")!
2. He is most famous for his training of Luke Skywalker, and Obi-Wan "Ben" Kenobi!
3. He is among the very few Jedi to survive the rise of the dread Emperor Palpatine!
4. He first appeared in the 1980 Feature Film Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back!
5. Though his first filmed appearance in the Star Wars continuty was relatively recently in 1999's Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace!
What we know about Master Yoda...
1. Yoda was about 900 years old when he died!
2. He trained Jedi for about 800 years!
3. He was a member of the Jedi Council at least since the age of 700
4. He escaped to the swampy world of Dagobah sometime after the Clone Wars and the rise of the Empire.
5. Master Yoda was revered as one of the greatest weilders of the Lightsaber in the galaxy, though seldom was he forced to prove this fact!
What we don't know about Master Yoda...
1. Though Jedi Council Member Yaddle appeared to be of the same species as Yoda, no one knows what that species is!
2. Was Dagobah Yoda's homeworld or an arbitrary choice?
3. Who was Yoda's teacher when he was a padawan?
4. Considering his long lifespan, at what age did Yoda become a Jedi?
